The Center for Disease Control has podcasts available on its site now. Some of them are about anthrax and other epidemic diseases.
Most of them are quite short so are easy to listen to. Many have very important information in them that may save your life and the lives of your loved ones.
Many of my readers are in other countries besides the USA. There is nothing on the CDC sites that requires you to be a US citizen to look at them or listen to the podcasts or watch their videos. I hope that you will use them even if you live in another country. I think we all deserve whatever we need to be safe. With epidemics, spreading knowledge and preparedness protects us all, no matter where we are.
Below is information from a CDC fact sheet on anthrax. It is about what you have to do if you are exposed to anthrax:
Preventing Anthrax After Exposure: Options
• Initial recommendation:
Antibiotics for 60 days
• New Option 1:
Antibiotics for 100 days
• New Option 2:
40 more days antibiotics plus vaccine (3 doses
over 4 weeks)
